Air Force


Josmar Burga joined the United States Air Force under the Delayed Entry Program. The program gives young men and women the opportunity to enlist and delay going into basic military training for up to one year while they complete their educations and prepare for military service. Qualified recruits are eligible to receive skills training, experience, and education benefits. After completing basic military training and graduating as new "airmen," they each receive specialized technical instruction in one of more than 140 career fields. He reported to Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, for basic training in November. He is a 2005 graduate of Nuestra Señora De La Merced, Randolph, Mass. He earned an associate degree in 2015 from Massasoit Comunity College, Brockton, Mass.
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Sasha Boscoe graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Boscoe is the daughter of Cathy Boscoe of Watertown, N.Y., and niece of Denise and Steven Boscoe of Swansea, Mass. She is also the sister of Gina Boscoe. The airman graduated in 2016 from Reynolds High School, Asheville, N.C.
U.S. Air Force Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Nathan Frappier graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Frappier is the son of Brett Phillips and Cheryl Stone-Phillips of Feeding Hills, Mass., and Mark Frappier of Southwick, Mass., and brother of Joshua Frappier of Westfield, Mass., and Meagan Phillips of Agawam, Mass.  He is also the brother of Andrew Phillips. The airman graduated in 2010 from Agawam High School, Agawam, Mass., and earned a bachelor's degree in 2014 from Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, Mass.
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Huston A. Crayton IV graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Crayton is the son of Analisa R. Crayton of Holbrook, Mass., and Huston Crayton of Dorchester, Mass., and grandson of Gaylene Docanto of Brockton, Mass. He graduated in 2016 from Brockton High School, Brockton, Mass.
U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Michaela N. Woodell graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Woodell is the daughter of Marrianne C. and John P. Woodell of Forestdale, Mass. She is a 2013 graduate of Sandwich High School, East Sandwich, Mass.

U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Amanda L. Drainville graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Drainville is the daughter of Renee E. and Scott R. Drainville of Lubbock, Texas, granddaughter of Lawrence and June Brewster of Rehoboth, Mass., and niece of Rachel Fanara of Riverside, R.I. She is a 2013 graduate of Ponaganset High School, North Scituate, R.I.

Air Force Airman Joshua D. Smith graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Smith is the son of Laureen and Dan Smith of Marstons Mills. He is a 2011 graduate of Cape cod Regional Technical High School, Harwich.

Air Force Airman Matthew R. Pearson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Pearson is the son of Dottie and Robert Pearson Sr. of Plymouth. He is a 2012 graduate of Plymouth North High School.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class John D. Hallinan graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Hallinan earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Dan Hallinan of East Falmouth and Meredith Chadwick of Mashpee. The airman is a 2000 graduate of Falmouth High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in 2013 from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
